"Mom Jeans. is a band from Berkeley, California. Comparisons to bands like Modern Baseball and the Front Bottoms are sure to abound based on the confessional lyricism and acoustic guitar based punk aesthetics, but there is something else in play with this group that neither of those peers can offer." — Taco Bell
Kississippi began as a mystery, the band garnering quick Internet acclaim with the 2014 digital release of a collection of demos. At the time, little was known about the artist behind it all - Zoe Reynolds, a Philadelphia native following a childhood dream of pursuing music. Since then, Reynolds has stepped further into the spotlight, spending extensive time on the road with a varied live band that includes members of Fern Mayo, Who Loves You and Naps. The band brings to life Reynolds’s intimate and heartbreakingly gorgeous recordings, including the 2015 EP We Have No Future, We’re All Doomed and an upcoming full length, currently being recorded. Listen closely and the secrets of Kississippi are yours to discover.
LizRd Women are yr mom's favorite out of all the bands you listen to that she doesn't like. LizRd Women are like when yr boyfriend cooks for you and you say: "That was ok!"
Despite all this, they have risen from their humble origins as a two-piece acoustic guitar comedy band four years ago at Champlain College to their current status as some guys who work at a cafe and have received moderate praise from some shockingly reputable sources. Emo, post punk, and slacker rock combine to form a band that once made an older man yell about Real Music™ and leave Radio Bean. One time they didn't win a battle of the bands but were told that they were definitely the funniest.
Though currently trying to do The New York Thing, LizRd Women will always call BTV home.
